Intro.: Dan Roberts and A Moment in Time with Jamestown - Journey of Democracy, tracing the global advance of democratic ideals since the founding of Jamestown, Virginia in 1607.

Content: Henry Knox was an early supporter of the Sons of Liberty, a Boston bookseller with an amateur’s fascination with artillery. He joined the Army when Washington was besieging the British in the fall of 1775 at Boston. Knox realized the Continentals had no real artillery. Commissioned by Washington he went off to newly captured Fort Ticonderoga in New York and in 56 days dragged the Fort’s guns back to Boston, thus forcing the British to evacuate the city.
